We are looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join our SRE Service, which aims to build resilient, fault-tolerant, cost-effective infrastructure foundations for MacPaw products and services in tight cooperation with software engineering teams. The SRE team constantly optimizes the technical stack by identifying common patterns in SDLC processes and product infrastructure needs, making solutions for similar problems reusable.

Tech. stack: GCP and AWS, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, Prometheus + Grafana Stack, Helm, FluxCD, Bash/Go/Python.

You will join the team of 12 Engineers (including the Manager) and partner closely with all MacPaw products and many different teams to solve ongoing infrastructure tasks.

Together with the SRE Service, you will also carry the mission of developing the DevOps culture within MacPaw. The team aims to remove the “wall of confusion” and make infrastructure orchestration more concise and friendly for software engineering teams to empower the ability to achieve business goals quickly and efficiently.

In this role, you will:
- Design and implement highly available, resilient, maintainable, scalable, reusable and cost-effective infrastructure solutions
- Develop tools that abstract underlying infrastructure complexity and provide easy-to-use interfaces to development teams
- Design, implement, and support CI/CD pipelines
- Identify and eliminate toil
- Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation, responding to service disruptions with proper incident handling
- Research and develop new tools and approaches to solve business needs/problems


Skills you’ll need to bring:
- Understanding principles of building fault-tolerant, highly available, and scalable distributed systems
- Profound experience creating efficient and maintainable CI/CD pipelines
- Experience working with Kubernetes container orchestration system
- Experience with monitoring tools
- Proficient knowledge of cloud computing (AWS, GCP, etc.)
- Hands-on experience in describing infrastructure as code
- Experience with ticket management software
- Experience in troubleshooting
- Ability to work with and constantly maintain a knowledge base
- Excellent communication skills, autonomy, and the ability to work with various stakeholders
- Intermediate level of English


As a Plus:
- Experience writing code in one of the popular high-level languages such as Go, Python, etc.
- Knowledge of computer networking, Unix/Linux internals
- Experience with automated coding tools
- Experience in debugging

It’s entirely up to you whether to work remotely or at the hub. If you decide to mix it, our Kyiv headquarters (HQ), which works as a coworking space, is open around the clock. The HQ is supplied with UPS and Starlink for an uninterrupted work process.
