Project description:

The initiative focuses on technology services specializing in digital commerce and experience. It operates as a full-service omnichannel partner, offering strategy, design, development, and managed services to global brands, retailers, and manufacturers.
The Technology Services team is currently seeking DevOps Engineers to enhance their Platform Engineering and Site Reliability Engineering teams. Comprised of diverse and talented individuals spanning four different locations — Finland, Estonia, Sweden, Poland, and Ukraine — the team primarily supports internal development teams within the organization.

Project Focuses On:

- Develop and maintain in-house PaaS (Platform as a Service) based on Kubernetes
- Consult clients and project teams in the cloud infrastructure
- Participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment, security, and availability in the Cloud.
- Develop and implement internal systems, processes, and best practices to be used by other teams designed to increase productivity.
- Collaborate with Software Engineers
- Troubleshoot Cloud issues and respond to escalations.
- Verify and resolve configuration and other non-software-related issues.

What You Will Do:

- Proactively work to create scalable and highly reliable Cloud
- Optimize performance and running cost of our environments by having best practice configurations in place
- Operate and maintain our New Relic, Prometheus and Loki-based observability stack
- Develop automation using Argo Workflows and Events
- Troubleshoot, identify bugs and respond to incidents

Skills & Requirements:

- A minimum of 4+ years of experience in designing and implementing solutions based on Google Cloud Platform.
- At least 3+ years of hands-on experience with Docker and 2+ years with Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code methodologies for managing infrastructure resources, along with a minimum of 3+ years of experience in automation using tools such as Ansible,custom Bash, and Python scripts.
- Familiarity with software engineering practices and tools such as Git, GitFlow, and GitOps, understanding how to apply best practices within the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team.
- Thorough knowledge of Linux troubleshooting, encompassing networking, file systems, security, and kernel functionalities.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, essential for collaborating effectively within the group and across the wider engineering organization.
- Understanding of cloud security principles and governance models.
