Senior Data Engineer (offline)

Job Description:

Wonderment Apps is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to build robust, data-driven solutions for our clients. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in building and optimizing our data infrastructure to support business growth through data. You will lead the design and implementation of scalable data integrations and pipelines using Azure Synapse, ensuring high data quality and accessibility for business intelligence, analytics, and data science initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement robust, scalable data integration pipelines using Azure Synapse, ensuring optimal data flow from various sources to our centralized data warehouse.
Optimize data processes for performance and scalability, implementing best practices for data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
Ensure the integrity, availability, and confidentiality of data through comprehensive data governance, quality controls, and security measures.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues within the data architecture, providing timely support and enhancements as needed.
Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in data engineering technologies, evaluating and recommending tools and processes to enhance the data infrastructure.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on building and managing data pipelines and architectures.
Expertise in Azure Synapse Analytics, including data integration, data lake, and data warehousing solutions.
Proficient in SQL, Python, or Scala, and familiar with Azure data services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks).
Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing principles.
Experience with data governance, data quality management, and data security practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across different teams and stakeholders
