Video Engineer (offline)

On behalf of our Client from Germany, Mobilunity is looking for a Video Engineer.

Our customer is a company that produces and broadcasts content related to equestrian sports. With rights to broadcast the most significant equestrian sporting events all over Europe and in the USA, they are the industry’s largest content provider company for fans of equestrian sports.

As a Video Engineer, you’ll be at the core of the client’s business and ensure their end users can enjoy the content they create in high quality on any device. In collaboration with their production teams and event managers you will discover recurring quality issues and will help troubleshoot and improve the qualities of our live streams and videos on demand by designing, implementing and maintaining according services. Requirements:
• Proven track record in TV production, streaming of mass events like a world final, or similar experience in working with live video production based on the standards of the EBU and SMPTE
• Video transcoding using FFMPEG is more to you than just using handbrake
• Familiarity with VMAF, SSIM and PSNR, as well as your profound knowledge of video encoding on CPU’s and GPU’s allow you to troubleshoot any video issue in our live streams or video archive
• Extensive familiarity with the big buck bunny
• Level of English – Upper-Intermediate and higher

Nice to have:
• Experience with AWS media services
• Experience with Wowza streaming engine
• Familiarity in sport video productions
• Understanding of NVENC, DVENC, Nvidia GPU’s and the CUDA toolkit
• Basic knowledge how a printed circuit board is designed and works
• Familiarity with Python, Golang or other programming languages
• Experience in remote work or within content and/or broadcast companies
