Senior Data Scientist (offline)

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join us as part of our team.

About the project
Big international company whose main business is related to gift cards and their functioning: issuing and distribution of cards, processing of payments, exchanging, refilling, etc. It also operates with many other types of digital content like eGifts, incentive cards, promotions, rewards, etc. The company has several e-commerce sites and platforms that are helping to distribute the gift card products. Also, the company has a bunch of own core services that perform all the management of gift cards in the ecosystem. The company seeks a Data Scientist for a new team who will work with a recommendation system.

Team structure: Distributed. Manager is in USA California

Processes: flexible schedule, avg 8 hours in a working day, with the opportunity of being available online until 8-9 pm CET (when it’s needed).

Technical stack: AWS, Python, Adobe Experience Platform. Some ML related tools can be picked by engineer.

As a qualified expert, You will

Working and professionally communicating with the customer’s team
Taking up responsibility for delivering major solution features
Participating in requirements gathering & clarification process, proposing optimal architecture strategies, leading the data architecture implementation
Building machine learning algorithms for solving business problems in E-commerce and Retail
Developing AWS machine learning infrastructure to support and maintain model serving and training
Analysis of data for patterns
Visualisation of data

We’re looking for you if you have

5+ years of experience in IT
3+ years of experience in data science projects
Strong system design skills
Experience with recommendation system
Understanding of modern machine learning techniques and algorithms
Strong Python, SQL knowledge
Experience with model implementation and tuning using popular Machine Learning frameworks such as PyTorch, Keras, TensorFlow
English level: Upper-Intermediate or higher

Working location: outside Ukraine

Bonus Points:
Experience with general DevOps practices and principles
Experience in building data pipelines on AWS cloud
Strong skills in cross-team communication and gathering information
Experience with leading DS-team of any size
Experience with Big Data Processing and data processing frameworks (Apache Spark, Hadoop etc)
Experience in retail domain
