Database Administrator (DBA) Oracle/PostgreSQL (offline) $4500-5500

We are looking for Database Administrator (DBA) Oracle/PostgreSQL to work closely with software developers and business migrate existing project to new technologies and develop new features . Communication and organization skills are critical for this position, along with a problem-solution attitude.
Database Administrator (DBA) Job Description: Oracle/PostgreSQL
Responsibilities:
Oracle 11.2 Administration:
1. Install, configure, and maintain Oracle 11.2 database software.
2. Implement and manage database partitioning strategies.
3. Set up and maintain standby databases for high availability.
4. Configure and manage Oracle Data Guard.
5. Implement Change Data Capture (CDC) and Oracle Streams for data synchronization.
6. Perform performance tuning activities to optimize database performance.
7. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Oracle databases.
PostgreSQL 15+ Administration:
1. Administer PostgreSQL 15 and above, including installation and configuration.
2. Perform minor and major version upgrades of PostgreSQL databases.
3. Configure and manage pg_bouncer for connection pooling.
4. Implement and manage logical replication in PostgreSQL.
5. Set up and maintain standby databases for high availability using Patroni.
6. Ensure high availability of PostgreSQL databases.
7. Install and manage various extensions, including oracle_fdw, tds_fdw, citus, nice to have Debezium.
General Responsibilities:
1. Utilize Linux knowledge for effective database administration.
2. Conduct routine and proactive monitoring of database systems.
3. Collaborate with development teams for efficient database design and optimization.
4. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database configurations and procedures.
Qualifications:
Education
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience
• Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience as a Database Administrator.
• Significant experience with Oracle 11.2 and PostgreSQL 15+.
Certification
• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification.
• PostgreSQL certifications are a plus.
Technical skills
• Proficient in Oracle 11.2 administration, including partitioning, Data Guard, and performance tuning.
• Strong experience in PostgreSQL 15+ administration, logical replication, and high availability.

Extensions and tools
• Experience with installing and managing various extensions like oracle_fdw, tds_fdw, citus, and
• Nice to have Setup change data capture using Debezium
Linux Knowledge
• Good understanding of Linux systems and commands.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Familiarity with Python for scripting and automation.
• Experience with Oracle Database edition downgrade.
