Database Administrator (Oracle/PostgreSQL) (offline)

We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) with expertise in Oracle and PostgreSQL databases, as well as experience with AWS cloud and on-premises environments. As a DBA, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining database systems to support our organization’s data needs across various platforms.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field;
Proven experience as a Database Administrator (DBA) with expertise in Oracle (version 19с and higher) and PostgreSQL (version 12 and higher) databases;
Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, including RDS, EC2, S3, and IAM;
Familiarity with on-premises database environments, including server hardware, storage, and network infrastructure;
Strong knowledge of database concepts, architecture, and administration, including backup and recovery, performance tuning, and security;
Experience with database migration, replication, and integration between Oracle and PostgreSQL databases;
Proficiency in SQL programming and scripting languages for automation and database management tasks;
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail;
Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams;
Preferred Qualifications:
AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Database – Specialty);
Experience with database technologies such as MySQL, SQL Server, or NoSQL databases;
Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.



Job Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain Oracle and PostgreSQL database systems, including installation, configuration, backup, recovery, and performance tuning;
Design and implement database solutions for both AWS cloud and on-premises environments, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and scalability;
Monitor database health and performance, proactively identify and address issues, and optimize database performance to meet business requirements;
Implement and maintain database security measures, including access controls, encryption, and compliance with regulatory requirements;
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data migration, replication, and integration solutions between different database platforms;
Develop and maintain database documentation, including system specifications, configurations, and procedures;
Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to resolve database-related issues and incidents;
Stay updated with emerging technologies, best practices, and industry trends related to database management, cloud computing, and data architecture.
