The Taxonomy Manager will play a crucial role in our Gepard Team by analyzing and mapping taxonomies between our clients and content providers.

This part-time position is designed for individuals who have a keen eye for detail, understanding of taxonomy principles, and the ability to analyze and organize large sets of data efficiently.

As a Taxonomy Manager, you will be responsible for understanding the structure and logic behind different taxonomies and developing strategies to map these systems together. This role requires a blend of analytical skills and creativity to ensure that data mapping enhances the user experience and supports our platform’s data integrity.

Your work will involve close collaboration with our team to identify discrepancies in taxonomy structures and propose solutions that streamline data management processes. By ensuring consistency and accuracy in our taxonomy mappings, you will directly contribute to improving the quality of our data services and supporting our clients’ needs.

Requirements
— Experience with Taxonomy and Data Mapping: Demonstrated ability in taxonomy development, data analysis, and mapping is essential.
— Analytical Skills: Strong capability to analyze data with a keen eye for detail.
— Collaboration: Must be able to work effectively in a team setting.
— Problem-solving: Excellent problem-solving abilities are crucial.
— Technical English

Key Responsibilities
— Conduct detailed analysis of client and content provider taxonomies.
— Develop and implement effective mapping strategies to align disparate taxonomies.
— Work collaboratively with team members to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
— Provide recommendations for enhancing taxonomy management and mapping processes.
— Ideal candidates will have experience in data analysis, taxonomy, and mapping, along with a proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Nice to have
— Information Architecture Knowledge: Understanding of data management and information architecture principles.
— E-commerce Data Structure Familiarity: Understanding of product data structures in the e-commerce sector is preferred.
— Experienced with Scrum Agile, and Jira

Working conditions
This position is offered on a part-time basis, with work hours that will vary depending on client activity. The role is designed to accommodate fluctuating workloads, ensuring flexibility to adapt to increasing or decreasing demands as needed.
Candidates should be prepared for periods of higher engagement during peak client activity times, with the understanding that workload will align with the ebbs and flows of project requirements and client needs.
This role offers the opportunity to work dynamically within our team, contributing to diverse projects and engaging with a variety of data management challenges in the e-commerce sector.


Information on the project, team, technologies used:
We develop a Product Information Management (PIM) platform specifically tailored for e-commerce. The platform automates operations related to product data management, from content import in any given format and its automatic transformation in line with retailers’ requirements, to seamless delivery of the content to various sales points.

Our platform, Gepard, aims to reduce time-to-market of products and minimize manual labor. Technologies: PHP 8.1, Yii 2.0, ReactPHP, MongoDB, Redis, and ElasticSearch. UIs using React 18, React Router 6, JSX, MUI 5 & MUI-X 6.
