DevOps Engineer (offline)

We are looking for a SRE/DevOps Engineer with AWS or other cloud experience who is also familiar with infrastructure as code concepts and is comfortable with some sort of scripting language like Python, bash or PowerShell and Linux experience too. Also, configuration management with Ansilbe but experience with Chef or Puppet counts too.

It is headquartered in London and has 28 offices in the world’s principal commodity trading and production centers. The company produces price assessments and analyses of international energy and other commodity markets and offers bespoke consulting services and industry-leading conferences. 

About the project:
Our client created five types of platforms, which help to deliver information instantly to customers. They collect and maintain complex data sets to help their customers understand the market, providing analysis, visualization, and expert opinion daily. 
Plans for the product - AWS infrastructure as code for various projects and platforms. Eventually, become a dedicated resource on one or two key platforms while also working on other projects.

Responsibilities:
- Designing, developing, implementing, monitoring, and maintaining cloud infrastructure.
- Supporting other individuals and teams with the same.
- Disaster recovery preparation and practice.
- Writing documentation and knowledge sharing with the rest of the team.
- Working with the DevOps/SRE team and the relevant product teams.
- Some legacy systems need to be rebuilt and improved.
- There are systems at the early stages of design and development. Therefore there are opportunities to be involved in the design of a new system.


Requirements:
- English Upper-Intermediate or higher
- Cloud experience with AWS or others.
- Infrastructure as code experience is ideal but not mandatory.
- Being familiar with the concept of version control, for example, git and similar.
- Configuration management automation experience, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Experience with CI pipelines like Gitlab CI or Jenkins is ideal but not mandatory.
- This role requires good communication and interpersonal skills.

Hiring process:
