Senior Product Manager (Data product) (offline)

Responsibilities:

- Optimizations of business processes

- Sets success metrics for epics, issues, and tracks post-launch metrics

- Researches and defines category vision and strategy

- Ensures product completeness

- Evaluates potential and fitting products for acquisition by AUTODOC

- Develops the program vision and roadmap

- Creates and manages the product backlog

- Defines releases and program increments

- Identifies the potential risks to the product's success and develops contingency plans to mitigate them

 

Requirements:

 

-A strong understanding of data product management principles and methodologies

- Domain area expertise: user behavioral data analytics (internal tools for Google Analytics, apps flyer, amplitude, heepio etc.)

- Performing extensive domain and market research to determine product vision and strategic roadmap

- Building rapport with stakeholders to align around priorities and responsibilities

- Helping the company and stakeholders understand and extract value from their data

- Defining success metrics: product effectiveness, delivery, process metrics etc.

- Defining product artifacts for each product lifecycle stage

- Familiar with prioritization frameworks

- Can ensure the solution is viable

- Adaptability and flexibility

- Strong communication and analytical skills

- Ability to identify and solve problems effectively

- Understands how to lead products to success

- Experience in product management 7+ years

- Experience with technological data products

 

Core:

 

Builds Data-Driven Solutions, takes decisions based on Data

Has knowledge of standard product management tools specified by project needs (Amplitude, BI tools, Balsamiq, Google Analytics, etc.)

Conducts market, customer, and competitor research to understand the market landscape and customer needs to develop successful data products.

Gathers customer insights

Defines metrics to track progress, and sets KPIs and OKRs.

Researches and defines product vision and strategy

Drives squad strategy - with no/minimal help

Drives multi-squad/zone strategy - with some help

Collaborates with Architect to understand and define stack, workload, ballpark delivery estimates

Uses AB testing successfully

Delivers small products with little-no bugs on time

Chooses correct User Science tools

Ability to determine the ideas that should be worked on

Understand the User journey

Ensures product completeness

Defines releases and program increments

 

Nice to have skills:

- Skills in data engineering to build data products

- Skills in data analysis and data science to understand how those products will be used

- Skills in data platform development, coding pipelines, managing data quality monitoring

- Writes and gives big presentations - with the help

- Sets timelines, defines milestones and tracks progress

- Delivers major products with little-no bugs on time

- Follows the implementation and delivery schedule

- Creates BRD, PRD, and Specifications

- Setts success metrics for epics, issues, and tracking post-launch metrics

- Traces a user issue (or set of issues) back to the underlying problem

- Ability to analyze product performance data, and identify trends in the market

- Story writing and bug/features writing (for example, SMART Tasks Description and so on)

- Writes clear workflow emails

- Writes specs/stories for big features and small products with little-no errors

- Brainstorms constructively with others

- Provides the best solution for the product and defends product management point of view

 

 

Cross-Functional:

 

- Resolves conflicts and handles difficult conversations with stakeholders from different departments.

- Articulates business logic to technical partners

- Anticipates implementation challenges with a particular proposal

- Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, sales and so on

- Uses survey tools successfully and without bias

- Empathizes with customers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to understand their needs

- Leads in-person or remote interviews without bias

- Uses remote usability testing successfully and without bias
