Database Engineer

As a MySQL Administrator at Beliani, you will play a critical role in managing our MySQL databases and optimizing their performance to ensure the smooth operation of our high-traffic e-commerce platforms. You will be responsible for a range of tasks, from database tuning to replication, backup, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:
As a MySQL Administrator, your daily tasks will include:
-Manage and administer MySQL databases, ensuring their performance, security, and availability.
-Optimize database systems for high-load environments, resolving issues related to slow queries, replication lag, and memory usage.
-Implement and maintain master-slave replication configurations.
-Configuring servers for efficient processing of numerous and resource-intensive queries without locking
-Managing the migration of Percona servers from version 5.7 to version 8
-Perform regular backups and disaster recovery procedures.
-Monitor database health and proactively address any anomalies.
-Collaborate with development teams to fine-tune SQL queries and optimize database schema.

Qualifications:
-5+ years of professional experience in Linux systems administration.
-Extensive knowledge of MySQL database administration, including optimization, replication, backup, and troubleshooting.
-Experience with complex, high-traffic e-commerce architectures.
-Proficiency in load balancing technologies (e.g., nginx and HAProxy).
-Strong communication skills and English language proficiency (minimum B2 level); knowledge of Russian is a plus.
-Experience with Redis multiserver structures, Sphinx search engine, PHP support, Ceph distributed file storage, email, and monitoring tools like Zabbix is a plus.
