Game Designer / Level Designer (offline)

Hitica is looking for a motivated Level Designer who will join our team to build amazing games together

 

Responsibilities:

Design levels from idea to final assembly

Build levels in the game engine, from prototype to release ready

Optimize levels in current projects

Collaborate with 2D and 3D artists and developers to define asset specifications and quality control

Set up materials and lighting

Improve in-game economy, monetization, and game balance

Support game design documentation

Being responsible for the quality of implemented features

Close work with team leads

 

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience as a level designer and/or game designer

Extensive knowledge of Unity tools

Excellent sense of scale, proportion, and composition

Understand the principles of level design

Understand principles of game balance

Experience creating features as a Game Designer

Experience with version control systems (SourceTree, GIT, etc.)

Creative and flexible approach to work

Up-to-date portfolio with examples of your work

 

Would be nice:

Experience with related specialties in the game industry

Knowledge of optimization methods

Skills in creating visual effects

Technical savvy - understanding the nuances of development, how certain mechanics are arranged from the technical side, and project structure.

English from intermediate level
