Senior Database Administrator (offline)

JiBe - is a cloud-based maritime ERP system that provides a complete solution for ship management. JiBe is widely recognised as the most technologically advanced maritime ERP system that helps to orchestrate the every day cargo ship life. Currently the platform is successfully working within ships all over the seas.

Responsibilities:

* SQL Server Database Administrator with at least 7+ years of experience with a variety of complex large-scale transnational OLTP and OLAP environments.

* Deep understanding of supporting technologies around SQL Servers: Cloud technologies (Azure, AWS), Active Directory, Group Policy, Windows PowerShell, Storage and SAN architecture, Virtualization and Clustering.

* SQL server architecture Design and capacity planning, Implementing Active/Active or Active/Passive clustering, Complex Datacenter /DB migration, Database upgrades, Automation of Complete Server monitoring, performance tuning, development, Mirroring, log shipping and replication.

* Specialized in SQL Server Architecture and DBA work: Windows Failover clustering: setup, validation, troubleshooting Migrating highly transactional databases from On-prem to Cloud (AWS, Azure) instances with Zero downtime.

* Building SQL server 2017/2019 on containers (Docker). Cosmos DB, Azure SQL Database, Data Lake, Databricks, Data Factory

* High Availability: Clustering, Always-On, Log Shipping, Replication, Mirroring

* SQL Server Diagnostics and identification of slowness

* SQL Query Performance Tuning, indexing, Table level Compression, Table partitioning.

* Automation of SQL Server Health using TSQL, Windows PowerShell ETL processing: data load and transformation, deploying large-scale ETL Packages.

* SharePoint Administration and service application configuration. Security, Auditing, Encryption.

* SSRS Load balancing, Creating BI Reports, Deploying Reports. Managing CRM databases and migrating the data to CRM from various sources.

* Installations, Upgrades, Service Pack, Cumulative Updates, Migrations, Patching.

* Azure synapse analytics, AWS redshift. Implemented data purging by moving old data to AWS DynamoDB and Azure Cosmos DB.

Requirements

* 7+ years’ professional experience as a DB Administrator/Engineer.
* Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2017/2019, Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, Data Lake, Databricks, Data Factory.
* Experience with MySQL and MSSQL.
* Practice with database design, writing T-SQL code, PowerShell scripts.
* Upper-Intermediate level of English.
* Excellent communication and analytical skills.
