Senior Business Analyst with financial background in R/D team (offline)

The R&D cycle of a team will include such typical steps like:
• Ideas and concepts – permanent research and analysis, that can come from a change of legislation, a technological breakthrough, or striving for efficiency or cost-saving.
• Designs and modeling – the technical analysis, design, development activities that are needed to resolve the uncertainty, meet the challenge and prepare an MVP to test a hypothesis.
• Testing and validating hypotheses on a market using a variety of tools and techniques.
• Patenting of innovative solutions and ideas in The United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Requirements
• A wide erudition and knowledge of the U.S. micro-small business market
• Previous experience of working in a financial modeling team within the Big Four or a professional services firm or large corporate
• Developing and/or reviewing models where a key output was integrated financial statements
• Experience in valuation, feasibility studies/projections, transaction support, due diligence, financial restructuring and IPO’s.
• Have strong academic achievements including excellent degree results
• Ability to review and analyze financial information and write clear, succinct and insightful reports.
• Advanced level of technical proficiency and computer literacy particularly with spreadsheets (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Having strong excel skills, relevant technical analytical skills could also be an advantage e.g., VBA, Access, SQL etc.
• Financial data analysis and consolidation
• Have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Intellectual curiosity and strong attention to detail
• Have an effective approach to time management and the ability to work to tight deadlines
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics or related field 2 – 4 years’ experience in a similar role within the Big Four
• Experience in working with Zohobooks, Quickbooks, Wave, Freshbooks, Sage, Xero and other similar apps for small business
• Experience in working with JIRA and Confluence tools

Responsibilities
• Gathering use cases and requirements from internal and external users and shareholders in support of initial concepts and projects
• Conducting market analysis and develops an initial hypothesis around growth opportunities and upside potential and downside risks
• Full cycle of product development in agile team:
• User stories preparation
• Refinement and planning sessions
• Product technical & business documentation development
• Close cooperation with a lawyer in patenting and protection of rights to the inventions

Would be a plus
• Knowledge of US GAAP
• A knowledge of SQL, visual tools such as QlikView, PowerBi, and ETL tools R and Python
