Senior Rails Engineerings (offline) $8000-11000

Who we're looking for:
- We're looking for strong senior/staff engineers to join our team to be the technical leads for both building new interesting features and migrate our legacy code into beautiful event-driven services.
- This isn't a managerial position, but IC.
- Strong coaching mentality who enjoys both diving into the code with your team, and stepping back to think through the problem deeply.

- If you enjoy the hard problems of system design, pulling out parts of systems and re-writing them to be way more reusable, we lots of interesting work here. We also just required a new company and looking to rewrite some of that work to service all our platforms with new functionality is big push.

Engineering landscape at Humi:
- We have two major products at Humi: A generalist HR app (Laravel) and a Payroll product (Rails). I manage that payroll group.
- The Rails app has around 35k lines of code, split mostly between models, controllers and libraries.
- All of engineering is 37 people, with the payroll group with 11 across two squads.

- We are looking to pay the equivalent of $9000 to $11000 USD/m
- Ideal timezone is 3 hours with Eastern timezone.
- Rails backend, moving to event-driven services with a Kafka Messaging hub
- Just closed our series B in May 2022 with $31M, we spend conservatively so we have lots of runway.
