Dev Data Scientist (Epidemiology, R, SQL) (offline)

....Odysseus has an exciting opening for a Healthcare/Clinical Data Scientist. This role will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting cutting-edge healthcare analytics distributed solutions in the real-world evidence (RWE) area, utilized by the researchers in pharmaceutical, healthcare and payer industries. Odysseus is looking for a self-driven individual who can hit the ground running—a quick learner and wants to be a part of our dynamic global team.

Responsibilities
● Design, execute and evaluate real-world evidence (RWE) studies (prediction studies)
● Interact with healthcare and pharmaceutical customers to discuss and work together to define study protocols
● Develop phenotype algorithms for EHR, claims and registry data and evaluate their performance, identifying discrepancies, creating data analysis pipelines and transforming data for database systems
● Be a part of a team of developers to develop study analytical code
● Orchestrate study execution, collect study results and develop a final write up

Required Skills
● M.S. or B.S. in Biostatistics, Biomedical Informatics or similar plus experience in data science, research or related engineering field
● Experience designing and conducting healthcare studies
● Knowledge of core principles of epidemiology
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills
● Strong knowledge of SQL and R
● Experience using OHDSI tools and analytical methods is a big plus
