Middle Python Engineer for Ivy Energy (US Client) (offline)

We are a growing engineering team based out of San Diego, CA, incubated out of the Southern California Energy Innovation Network. Our team is on a mission to evolve the way that shared real estate properties create, use, and think about energy.

Ivy’s platform (www.ivy-energy.com) is providing the missing intelligence, enabling a turnkey shared solar system that provides equitable benefits to tenants and predictable returns to real estate owners. The platform uses innovative software design that includes proprietary load algorithms and community solar cost averaging logic to make onsite shared solar a win-win-win for owners, residents, and grid operators.

Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain the backend system
Implement the algorithmic core of our product offering
Add new features as the product evolves
Collaborate with the product, design, frontend, and API teams
Advocate for and help implement best practices

Requirements:
3+ years of professional software engineering experience
3+ years of Python experience
Experience in PostgreSQL
Experience with Git version control

Bonus Requirements:
Experience with time series and/or time-series-focused relational database
Experience working in a CI/CD and DevOps delivery environment
Experience with cloud services i.e. AWS, EC2 (preferred)
