Front-End Web Developer (MERN Stack) (offline)

Responsibilities

Build, modify, and maintain responsive websites and landing pages from the frontend with an eye on usability, conversion, and attention to detail, and be able to assist and lead other developers on the team on best practices and approaches as needed
Convert designs from wireframes and/or a high-fidelity mock-ups into pixel perfect HTML/CSS/JavaScript code
Collaborate effectively with peers on ensuring technical feasibility of UX/UI designs, work estimation, and feature implementation to ensure deadlines are met
Assist in translating business requirements into software designs, implementation schedules, and deployment strategies
Participate in the refinement and ideation of user interface A/B tests.
Define new features that ensure a high performing and scalable user experience for both mobile and desktop users
Continuously optimize website performance for maximum speed and scalability

Skills And Qualifications

Experience in a web page development role (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and jQuery)
BS in Computer Science or any formal education is great to have but any related and proven work experience is sufficient
MERN stack experience is required, LAMP stack experience a plus
Experience with CSS pre-processing platforms such as SASS
Understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
Solid understanding of Agile development methodologies and familiar with CD/CI best practices
Solid understanding of SEO principles and adherence to best practices
Experience with CMS platforms (Drupal is a big plus) and templating engines such as HandlebarsJS or Twig
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills, and strong attention to detail

Nice to have:

Experience with Drupal 9 a major plus, including Lando and/or Pantheon LocalDev environments
Familiarity with NewRelic
Experience jQuery (for Drupal)
Experience with Drupal Paragraphs module, Views, Media module
