Lead Azure DevOps Engineer (offline)

Responsibilities

-Act as a technical acceptance point for the DevOps team on a project
-Create concepts and designs for pipelines, Kubernetes infrastructure, Terraform, etc.
-Create an automated Deployment Pipeline to ship applications and infrastructure to production:
Collaborate with developers, QA to architect and build the pipeline
Provide clear reporting of the pipeline’s to all teams
Support the teams to use the pipeline
Troubleshoot issues and remove blockers with the pipeline to maintain flow
Measure the pipeline and use this data to priorities work to continually improve it
Provide centralized monitoring, logging, reporting and alerting tooling that the development teams integrate with
-Collaboration with Dev and QA teams in:
Resolving issues and clearing blockers
Priorities changes
Providing environments
Release flow refinements
Quality gates implementation refinements
Versioning refinements
-Helping Agile teams by automating everything and reducing manual work
-Quick learner of new & emerging technologies and tools
-Being confident to challenge the status quo if needed and demonstrates a pragmatic and collaborative attitude
-Be proactive in communication with team members and client
-Be a part of a positive and fun team environment
-Mentorship of DevOpsSRE colleagues

Requirements

-7+ years of experience in a DevOps / SRE role
-Excellent communication skills
-Deep understanding of Release stages

Azure:

PowerShell/Azure CLI scripting
ARM Templates/Terraform
Understanding Azure AD
Azure networking – network configuration and security, load balancing, IPv4/IPv6
PaaS components (app services, functions, MS SQL, MySQL, Cosmos DB, key vaults, app gateways, etc.)
Strong knowledge of Azure VM infrastructure (VM scale sets, cloud services, etc.)
Understanding of caching services like Redis Cache and CDN
Understanding container services

CI/CD tools:

Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines, Artifacts)
Build Tools (MSBuild, MSDeploy, .Net, npm, nuget, etc.)
Code Quality Analysis tools (Sonarqube/Resharper Inspector)
Strong Git knowledge

Methodology:

Branching strategies (Gitflow/trunk-base development)
CI/CD (gated builds, feature environments, zero-downtime deployments)
Versioning (SemVer/Gitversion)
