ABOUT THE CLIENT
Our customer is using AI to conquer the global lunch market. It figures out what you want for lunch before you know it, automatically delivering custom, individually-packaged lunches from the best local restaurants. A unique copay system makes the product accessible to companies with a wide variety of budgets. By solving the group ordering problem we are able to source from a wide variety of local restaurants with 20x lower delivery costs than normal.

PROJECT DETAILS
The novel approach to lunch comes with a host of interesting challenges, from building new scalable solutions for customers, unique interface challenges, and lots of fun API gluing to refining our meal suggestion algorithm with machine learning, ontologies, etc.

We are seeking an experienced backend engineer to develop the bulletproof backend service.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and implement backend systems that are solid, scalable, and flexible
- Collaborate with back-end, front-end, and data engineers to deliver new features to customers
- Maintain a healthy backend service and resolve live issues
- Design and implement unit testable and highly maintainable code for the service
- Improve and optimize backend stacks for better shape and faster response
- Come up with great new ideas for features and better ways of implementing existing ones
- Proactive position in solution development, process improvements
- Communicate with PMs, QA, Designers and other colleagues and stakeholders

SKILLS
- RoR
- Experience in AWS (DevOps activities)
- SQL
- GraphQL
- Experience with AI/ML would be a plus
