Senior Cross-platform C++ Developer (offline)

Description:

Avid-ProTools team is focusing on Pro Tools Family development. Pro Tools suites intention is to compose, record, edit, and mix high-quality music or sound for movies on a Mac or PC using Pro Tools, the industry-standard audio production platform. Design the perfect setup for your needs with a wide array of Pro Tools solutions—from hardware interfaces and consoles to software, plug-ins, and more. Requirements:

- Good programming skills in either OS (Windows, MacOS, Linux/Unix): both user space and kernel space
- Senior enough to be able to drive assignments to completion with little or no supervision
- Network debugging skills
- Crash dump investigation skills
- Initiative taker and hard worker
- Readiness to contribute to cross-platform C++ libraries (Windows, Mac), as well as to drivers working with those libraries
- Mac drivers development experience is a big plus
- USB/Firewire/Thunderbolt drivers experience is a big plus
- Knowledge of C++11 or newer standard

Responsibilities:

We are looking for an experienced C/C++ developer with both user space (application) and kernel space (drivers) development expertise.

You will work on exciting projects, both new (from scratch) with new HW bring-up, as well as on those with a big existing codebase.

We follow industry trends and upgrade our dev tools and codebase to comply with the latest C++ standards, so you will stay on top of C++ community developments.
