Software Engineer with Data Science Background (offline)

You will be working with cutting-edge technology in a highly skilled team, and you’ll be able to make a difference in the work being developed. You will be part of a distributed team with experts and specialists within system and application development, IT architecture, product innovation, business development, and project management.
As the Software Engineer/Data Scientist you will work closely with researchers focusing on optimizing transport and logistics, and practical use of research results in the customer’s service offerings.
We are looking for an open-minded person who likes trying out new technology and who enjoys solving challenging tasks.

This position is ideal for those who are looking for the opportunity to work in an international self-motivated team and work with cutting-edge technologies. Occasional business trips to Norway might take place if needed.

Tasks and responsibilities:
- Participate in research projects
- Develop models for practical application in DI’s systems
- Participate in the development of DI’s Analytics Platform
- Be an advisor for clients and partners with regards to analysis, AI and ML

Professional requirements:
- Minimum Master’s Degree with subjects such as computer science
- Developer/programming experience. Preferably experience with Python and Java as they are the most relevant languages
- Good understanding of API and deployment of the applications
- Analysis and ML (machine learning) is important, but no need for research background
- Good knowledge of version control and Git
- Good knowledge of Public Cloud (AWS)
- Relevant experience from research environments is an advantage but not a must
- Good English, oral and written
