Data Engineer (offline) to $7000

Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain data processing, ETLs and database architectures on scale
- Design, develop and maintain data parsing, acquisition and labeling pipelines
- Design, develop and maintain inference pipelines of already trained models to work on scale on distributed architectures
- Set up distributed training architectures from scratch or re-design existing training processes to work on distributed architectures
- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc

Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related fields
- 3+ years of demonstrated experience in software engineering and / or data science-related projects using Python, Java, C++, Scala, etc
- Experience with big data processing tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc
- Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including Postgres and Cassandra
- Experience with cloud services as AWS, Google Cloud and similar ones
- Spoken and written English: IELTS 6+, TOEFL: 60+ or alternative demonstration of the knowledge

Preferred Qualifications

- Masters or PhD in Mathematics / Computer Science / Statistics or related fields
- Contribution to open-source projects related to data science
- Participation in large-scale data science competitions
