Senior DevOps Engineer (offline)

We are looking for the DevOps Engineer who will be focused upon automated continuous deployment of application code and the operational and security monitoring and care of the infrastructure and software platforms. The DevOps team serves as the liaison between team developers, corporate IT, and external cloud providers for deployment, operational efficiency, security, and business continuity. The ideal candidate has the ability to function in an agile software development lifecycle and will thrive in a hands-on, focused, productive and team-oriented environment.

Requirements:
• 4-5+ years of experience in DevOps role with atleast 3+ in AWS environment
• Familiarity with “infrastructure as code” best practices using tools like Ansible, Terraform, Docker, and CloudFormation.
• Experience of monitoring tools such as NewRelic, CloudWatch, Zabbix, or similar
• Experience deploying and maintaining JVM-based systems
• Solid understanding/experience with web services, databases and relating infrastructure/architectures — able to perform CRUD operations across a number of different datasources
• Linux administration and bash scripting
• Experience with containers and serverless architecture
• Experience within an agile environment
• Familiarity with git, including versioning, branching, and merging
• Possess a high degree of self-motivation, integrity, and commitment
• Comfortable with working in fast pace agile development environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred skills and competencies
• AWS certification in Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer
• Fintech Industry experience preferred

Core Responsibilities:
• Work with the application development and Infosec teams to optimize AWS footprint, eliminate single points of failure, and achieve 24/7 availability
• Diagnose system problems and interact with other technology professionals in determining root cause in a timely manner
• Bring new automation technologies to bear and improve the quality of engineering efforts
• Own and drive improvements to our build and release scripts, tools and processes
• Ensure visibility into application viability and performance via monitoring, thresholding and alerting
• Create and maintain development, QA, UAT and production environments for Liberty Lending applications
