Database Administrator (offline)

Mandatory Skills:
- Strong proficiency in SQL-based DB management (e.g. Oracle, PostgreSQL, Percona Server, Percona XtraDB Cluster);
- Real experience of working with high load databases for at least 3 years;
- Excellent knowledge of database installation and configuration;
- Excellent knowledge of clustering and high-availability;
- Excellent knowledge of backup and recovery strategies;
- Excellent knowledge of replication and disaster recovery;
- Excellent knowledge of database migrations and upgrades;
- Excellent knowledge of database performance and tuning.

Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python/Bash;
- Good working knowledge of Git/GitHub and IaC principles;
- Good knowledge of networking, storage, server, and virtualization layers;
- Good knowledge of logical and physical database design;
- Good knowledge of database security and auditing;
- Working knowledge of Cassandra;
- Working knowledge of Redis/Aerospike;
- Working knowledge of HBase;
- Working knowledge of MongoDB.

Responsibilities
- Provision PostgreSQL instances, both in clustered and non-clustered configurations;
- Monitor databases to optimize database performance and diagnose issues;
- Review database design and integration of systems and make recommendations regarding enhancements and/or improvements;
- Profile server resource usage, optimize and tweak as necessary;
- Handle common database procedures (upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc.);
- Help in choosing the optimal database for new applications.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Technology, or a related field of study
- Proven knowledge of SQL Servers
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
