Database Developer (offline)

Casting Networks is currently looking for a smart and self-motivated Database Developer with the ability to take on and overcome challenges in a dynamic and geographically distributed team environment.

Responsibilities:
● Participating in data architecture definition, design and implementation
● Supporting database continuous integration and delivery process
● Providing code review and best practices guidelines for developers
● Developing database-layer business code in form of stored procedures/functions
● Monitoring and troubleshooting database performance related issues
● Keeping documentation of new and existing processes up to date
● Being a team player while working closely with the members of other teams
Requirements:
● Strong experience in PostgreSQL development
● Strong experience in scripting/automation
● Strong experience in database development best practices
● Experience in database CI/CD approaches
● Experience in query optimization and database troubleshooting in general
● Knowledge in ETL data processing
● Experience with cloud solutions is a plus (Amazon RDS)
● Knowledge of Data Warehousing is a plus
● Knowledge of NoSql databases is a plus
● Experience in Microsoft SQL Server development is plus
● Experience in supporting Business Intelligence systems will be a plus
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills
● Being ready to work flexible hours while on pager duty
