Senior DevOps Engineer (offline)
Job Overview
We're looking for a highly driven and mission-aligned engineer to join our team in a key engineering role to help elevate our Commenting Platform across the largest media publisher companies in the world.
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, youβll be joining a team of talented engineers, and will have lots of autonomy and immediate impact in controlling the direction of the application and the technology decisions surrounding it.
Challenges and Opportunities for the position
The Senior DevOps Engineer will collaborate closely with seasoned experts on modern approaches and technologies, high-load environment, cloud computing, micro services, distributed fault-tolerant stack, and other fields.
Candidates will be familiar with the technologies we are using but may have not necessarily had the ability to work on them in their current job setting. That's generally OK. However, you should have a true passion for technology that is apparent through your previous work experience.

Responsibilities and Duties.
β Work with a globally distributed team, responsible for a mission-critical business function.
β Ensure timely and effective delivery of solutions into production.
β Create software deployment strategies that allow engineers to successfully deploy software in any environment.
β Monitors systems activities and fine tunes system parameters and configuration
β Optimize performance and ensure availability and security of systems
β Hands-on with Kubernetes and HelmQualifications.
Professional competencies
β Experience with auto-scaling, performance testing, and capacity planning
β Highly proficient at communication, collaboration, and attention to detail
β Comprehensive understanding of Google Cloud, in addition to experience with micro services (NodeJS), NoSQL databases, UNIX, Kubernetes, Docker, Git, andCI/CD
β Demonstrated skills with scaling distributed data systems and infrastructure orchestration tools.
β Experience with monitoring tools, such as Datadog, Sentry, etc.
β Skilled in the configuration, maintenance and securing of Linux systems.Cultural competencies
β Creative confidence
β Collaborative mindset and great teamwork skills
β Skilled at receiving feedback, as well as providing it
β Entrepreneurial & adaptable; great learning skills
β Transparent & communicative, patient
β Curious, research-minded, data-informed
