Data Engineer (offline)

Project Description:

You will be involved in designing and developing data pipeline architecture for a variety of reinsurance company projects by leveraging cutting edge Microsoft Azure services like Azure Data Lake, Data Bricks, Azure Synapse. You will be working with some of the brightest and smartest people who are set to change the insurance industry.

Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture for a variety of reinsurance company projects by interaction with different types of data sources (ftp, udp, api, scraping)
• Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data
• Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements; cleaning and transforming data
• Create data tools for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them in building and optimizing the product into an innovative industry leader
• Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems; bringing it to a standardized form (Microsoft Common Data Model)
• Keep data separated and secure across national boundaries through multiple data centers and Azure cloud

Requirements:

• The ideal person will be someone who can operate strategically, work with minimum guidance and deliver tactical outcomes in complex projects
• Experience building and optimizing ‘big data’ data pipelines, architectures and data sets.
• Comprehensive Cloud Integration and Data Management Solution for Microsoft Azure
• Experience with Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Bricks, Azure SQL Warehouse (Azure Synapse) will be a huge plus.
• Responsible for creating batches & scripts for implementing logical design to relational models.
• Extensive experience in creation of ETL process
• Good communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts
