Application/Customer Engineer (offline)

As a Customer Engineer, you will be responsible for generating customer collateral and addressing technical questions by setting up and taking lab measurements. Responsibilities will also include assisting in the debug of customer systems, contributing to internal infrastructure projects, data analysis, and report generation.
In this role, you will hone your technical, team-building and customer support skills, identify application pain-points, determine our product value, and help drive future product definition.

Responsibilities:
• Component level measurements and data collection for SiTime products to satisfy customer requests and internal data needs. This requires using common lab instrumentation including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, phase noise analyzers, frequency counters etc. Using scripting to automate measurements (Matlab, Python).
• Contribution to SiTime infrastructure projects. Developing and releasing scripts using Matlab or Python.
• Architecting and developing evaluation boards and customer evaluation tools.
• Creating demonstration platforms that showcase SiTime products.
• Supporting SiTime TimeMachine II programmer project – programming tool for SiTime oscillators.
• Writing customer facing papers (white papers, application notes) to address specific technical topics.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements:
• BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent and 4 years of experience or MSEE and 2 years of experience. Exceptional candidates with other technical backgrounds will be considered.
• High level of self-motivation, ownership, and drive to make an impact.
• Good theoretical understanding of analog and digital electronics, linear signals and circuit analysis.
• Basic knowledge of Digital signal processing.
• Familiar with PCB design.
• Familiar with circuit simulation tools.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Intermediate English level.
• Ability to work well with others in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.
• Basic programming skills in Matlab, Python or C.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Good knowledge of Digital signal processing.
• Hands-on experience with electronics laboratory bench instrumentation including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, frequency counters.
• Excellent programming skills in Matlab, Python or C.
• Familiarity and understanding of mixed-signal circuits and troubleshooting.
• Proficient in PCB design, familiar with Altium Designer.
• Experience of embedded firmware development.
