Business Analyst (offline)

Akvelon invites an experienced Business Analyst to participate in developing software to solve real-world problems in the Container Handling industry within the project from Tideworks Inc.
We develop software responsible for orchestrating terminal resources to optimally execute operations. The product is aimed to manage logistics at marine, off-dock, and rail container and break-bulk terminals around the globe. It is being developed from the ground up based on a micro-services architecture.

Required skills
— 3+ years in Business Systems Analyst role;
— Hands on experience with MS Visio or similar diagramming software, MS Outlook, Word and Excel;
— Experience with UI design techniques and using one of the UI mockup tools;
— Working knowledge of platform-specific scripting platforms (Linux/Mac BASH/KSH or Windows PowerShell);
— Upper Intermediate English

As a plus
— Familiarity with modern software architecture principles, including application of caching, micro- and mini-services, modern data storage constructs and principles (caching, RDBMS, NoSQL), distributed development and modern software integration practices;
— Familiarity with modern data storage and access technologies, including caching, application of NoSQL, Key/Value, and RDBMS datastores;
— Understanding of SQL, including understanding of views and stored procedures. Experience in PL/SQL and Oracle;
— Familiarity with black-box testing principles and practices, breadth of understanding in testing methodologies.

Responsibilities
— Developing product and functional requirements and maintains existing requirements documentation, user stories creation and acceptance;
— Analyzing requirements; constructing workflow charts and diagrams, studying system capabilities, writing specifications;
— Prioritizing sprint work, clarify requirements related questions and perform stories acceptance;
— Aligning stories priorities with the project schedule and analyzing issues found by customers in production.
