Senior Scala Developer (project from scratch) (offline)

Requirements

- BS degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
- 4+ years of experience with Scala functional programming
- Practical experience with modern Scala libraries such as Cats and the Typelevel stack
- Practical experience with Apache Kafka data streaming
- Experience of big data platforms such as Apache Spark and Apache Flink
- Expertise in building applications utilizing open source RDBMS/NoSQL databases and cloud warehousing solutions, such as Snowflake
- Leveraging DevOps techniques for CI/CD, test automation, test automation, test driven development utilizing Jenkins, Maven, Terraform, Git, Docker, Kubernetes
- Shows a commitment to quality by implementing suitable software using unit/integration and acceptance testing at the time of feature development
- Owns technical debt in their own software

Responsibilities

Execute high priority DEDA team data backend projects under the direction of team leadership with:
- Engineering problem solving process-based approach
- High attention to detail
- Professional presentation
- Participating in code reviews for data backend projects

We are Mate аcademy, a product EdTech startup with a mission to help 1 million people worldwide build their careers in IT. Our team challenges educational processes in Ukraine and the world, changing the pattern that obtaining an IT profession from scratch is nearly impossible.
