ETL Developer (offline)
Positional duties include the creation of new Talend scripts, the transition of PL/SQL ETLs to new Talend scripts, or the modification of existing scripts. The candidate will be involved in developing Talend Mappings and writing complex Oracle PL/SQL programs for the Data Warehouse. Other tasks include analyzing transaction errors, troubleshooting issues in the software, developing bug-fixes, and providing performance tuning efforts.
Responsibilities:
β’ Setup the Talend environment in the DEV, TST, and PRD landscapes
β’ Setup a development environment to develop and version maps, etc.
β’ Create a common framework for error and exception handling, status reporting, and restart
β’ Develop scheduling streams to schedule the maps, verify dependencies, and report job status
β’ Configure Talend per MDM project requirements
β’ Develop Talend services
β’ Integrate Talend MDM
β’ Develop ETL between systems, as required (e.g. Develop the maps for moving data from SAP R3 to the corresponding tables in Oracle)
β’ Implement data conversions, including mappings between systems
β’ Create a common framework for error and exception handling, status reporting, and restart
Mandatory Skills:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information, or Electrical Engineering
β’ Role Specific Experience: 2+ years of strong implementation experience with Talend MDM, and Talend ETL
β’ Experience with PL SQL, and SAP BAPI, and ABAP
β’ Experience with Talend on Oracle systems
β’ Experience with the establishment of operational framework for Talend based tasks
β’ Extensive experience in development, maintenance, and enhancement of Talend Mappings, Work-flows, and processes
β’ Project experience with developing complex SQL query and dimensional data model
β’ Experience with developing and deploying Talend in Unix and Oracle 11g database environment
β’ Experience with MS SQL Server
β’ Experience with creating complex Talend ETL mappings and workflows
β’ Experience coding complex SQL queries
Nice-to-Have Skills:
β’ Experience with the Talend ETL tool
β’ Firm understanding of relational database theory
