As being online retailer, having detail product content is very important to enhance data quality of our product data catalog. To improve our product data quality, we are looking for an enthusiastic self-starter Data Extractor Specialist to join our Web Content department who will be primarily responsible for gathering, normalizing and distributing valuable, relevant, and consistent product information from multiple sources.

You will be working closely with our web development / data architecture team, creating crawlers and data extractors that will gather the information for our data processing team, making them available our site to provide detail products information to our customers.



Primary Duties and Responsibilities

· Provide assistance and support for gathering product data information from multiple sources.

· Data cleansing, data matching, and product data normalization/optimization.

· Use our proprietary software to POST and Extract information from websites.

· Collecting product description, features, specifications, images, other documents.

· Convert extracted data into actionable database and/or to Excel worksheet.

· Helping with development of custom data extractor tools.

· Running reports on existing product data to check for missing and non-optimized content.



Qualifications, Skills and Requirements

· Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and JQuery.

· Working knowledge of PHP and MySQL

· Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Responsibilities:

Work closely with a data scientist to integrate your amazing innovations and algorithms into meaningful insights.
Support business decisions with ad hoc analysis as needed.
Database design and development
Clear, effective and professional written and verbal communication with: Senior leadership, marketing.
Clear and detailed requirements gathering.
Gather, profile, analyze and process raw data at scale (including writing scripts, web scraping, calling APIs, write queries, etc.). Process unstructured data into a form suitable for analysis - and then do the analysis.
