Senior NodeJS Developer (offline)

Skills:
• Strong, proven programming skills (node.js with express, typescript) with 3+ years experience in software development
• Experience with implementing back-end server features (and subsequent game logic) in a client / server environment.
• Experience and understanding of high level architecture used to build services - including profile management, login, PVP lobby and matchmaking.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• You are a team player who is comfortable with building a project from scratch and willing to participate in all areas of engineering within a nimble yet effective team in early stage startup mode.
• Understanding of formal software development process methodology;
• Knowledge of source version control software (Git);
• Upper-Intermediate level of English.

Will be a plus:
• Familiarity and previous experience with creating RESTful JSON APIS and services.
• Familiarity with cloud computing services like AWS (Amazon Web Service).
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases.
• Previous experience building and scaling a PVP game infrastructure and / or marketplace with many events per second volume.

Responsibilities:
• Designing and coding the PVP Arena Infrastructure including backend services and APIs.
• Build sustainable, automated highly performant and maintainable technologies and code.
• Collaborate with design on the end-to-end features and systems.
• Manage the risk and expectation of long-term research projects with potential future values.
