Senior BackEnd Engineer (NodeJs) (offline) $5000-6000

Product: Building an on-demand home & healthcare services super app. The app has a customer-facing and operating facing fronts with a backend engine built in NodeJS. The dashboards are in React & Angular JS. The app has almost all the modules of an on-demand app such as registration, order creation journey, fulfilment journey, payment etc.

Company: The start-up was formed in 2019, and the tech development took its pace in early 2020. We are fully operating in the UAE market and are growing aggressively. Many upcoming tracks such as an entirely based web app, country expansion planned in a pipeline where we are scaling resources.

What you will be doing:
• Contribute to the design, development, and testing of features delivered as applications and/or services;
• Actively participate in code reviews to attain the highest standards;
• Drive teams to follow clean code principles;
• Collaborate with peers and leads both within the team;
• Work with scrum teams and product managers using agile methodologies to deliver high quality solutions on time;
• Support applications and/or services as and when required in all time zones;
• Seeing through a project from conception to finished product;
• Staying abreast of developments in web applications and programming languages.

What you should have:
• 4-7 years of experience building backend service/API development;
• Degree in Computer Science Engineering;
• Experience with building and operating high throughput, low latency distributed systems;
• Experience with the following is a non-negotiable: JavaScript/TypeScript, NodeJS;
• In-depth knowledge of database management technologies, preferably MySQL, PostgreSQL and understanding of NoSQL databases;
• Experience operating in the DevOps model - "Build it, own it, run it";
• Knowledge of modern deployment paradigms such as Docker, Serverless, IaC;
• Familiarity working with CI/CD pipelines;
• Proven experience leading the design and implementation of application development programs and release management processes;
• Experience managing projects through the full development life cycle including support during rollout and post production.
