Job Description



As a Java Developer, you will have a passion for building and customising high quality software that will lead to the more effective product for our clients. You will also have a highly collaborative approach and be comfortable working with internal stakeholders, product specialists and also working closely with the clients to develop and enhance the product offering. Now you can grow your career with a leading financial services technology innovator with merit driven values and international culture. Initially this is a six months project that has a potential to evolve into a long-term engagement.





The Person We Need



Great skills and even greater personal qualities:

- education degree in relevant technology-based subject from a recognized university
- 3+ years of relevant industry experience as java developer, ideally within banking or software companies
- Java Enterprise application development experience, with system integration experience, SOAP, REST Web Services, JPA, JMS, JAXB, JAX-RS, Knowledge of enterprise Web Application security
- relational database development (preferably on Oracle, DB/2, PostgreSQL), ORM framework and Source Control tools (Git)
- fast learner with strong capabilities to comprehend complex software applications
- strong English communication skills in written and spoken English
- independent personality with strong problem-solving skills and positive attitude while being able to establish harmonious working relationships with team members.




Your Responsibilities



Drive your professional growth through rising to these challenges:

- design the module architecture and system philosophy for the product development
- lead software solution discussions with internal stakeholders and product owners to define best approach
- mapping clear and concise development workflows with the end goal of quick setup and reducing human error
- constantly review and asses design plan to ensure it evolves with the product needs as they change over time
- create well designed and reusable software artifacts
- support development managers throughout the development life-cycle and manage technical risks within projects
- ensure that best practices are used across the product range
- technical ownership on design, development and system integration work for product teams
- communicates and enforces coding standards and reviews work of front-end development teams
- actively contributes to the internal knowledge base and suggests areas and solutions for internal process improvement
- mentors and develops junior members on the team.
