Overview of the Position

Under the supervision of the Senior Java Developer, Middle Level Java Developer is experience in building high performing, scalable enterprise grade applications. As part of the company’s talented software team, you will be working on mission critical applications. Responsibilities include managing Java/Java EE application development while providing expertise in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing. Responsibilities also comprise of designing, developing and delivering high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems.

What you will do: (Duties and Responsibilities)

-Develop new features and enhancements for existing products
-Work on multiple aspects of software engineering including backend, quality assurance, devOps and release
-Collaborate with product management, engineering and other functions
-Participate in regular agile ceremonies; standups, grooming, planning, retrospective


Requirements and Qualifications

-Strong Java 8 or 11 development skills and experience in building highly scalable applications: 3+ years minimum
-Experience building REST APIs and/or enterprise integrations
-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

Nice to have

-Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate internally and with customers, investors
-Interest in FinTech, financial applications, and real estate
-Experience in distributed computing and confluence of data
-Knowledge of Hadoop or Spark technologies and workflows
-Experience with GIT (or code repositories), Agile/SCRUM methodologies
-Knowledge of /experience with cloud (AWS), DevOps, infrastructure, security
-Knowledge of data science methodologies and tooling
