Senior Java Engineer (Travel technology) (offline)

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Java engineer for ongoing development of our global product iXX1. Our travel technology is in use in almost every country of the world by reputable travel service providers including Lufthansa and Royal Caribbean, travel management companies including BCD Travel and CWT, travel agencies and technology vendors such as Globus and Airtrade as well as large corporations.


Required skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Java 8 or higher
- Experience with Java core libraries, Java concurrency model and Java memory management
- Experience with databases (SQL)
- Self-driven, independent work habits
- Passion for IT

As a plus, experience with:
- Spring framework
- XML/JSON
- Service Oriented Architecture ( SOAP / REST)
- Test-driven development

Our stack
- Database access: JPA (Java Persistence API) 2.x with Hibernate
- Component management service: CDI (Context Dependency Injection)
- GUI: Java Service Faces with components like PrimeFaces or JQuery, sometimes Angular as well
- Application Server: Tomcat
- Databases: MySQL or PostgreSQL
- Build: Maven and Jenkins
- Development Environment: Eclipse
- Functional Testing: Junit
- Non-function Testing: JMeter
