Software Engineer C++ (offline)

Our software team is making nanoimaging fast, accurate and cost-efficient by combining optical and atomic force microscopy with machine learning and artificial intelligence. The solutions we build push the envelope of what can be done, so we need engineers who are highly intelligent, hardworking and creative.

The Team
We are a company started by a physicist who wanted to create an optical inspection tool for scientists and engineers that was the most flexible and versatile optical inspection possible and to do it at an affordable price. Our physicist founder believed that to create the future, you have to see it. And that’s what we are passionate about doing—helping our customers see what they need to see so they can create the future.
60 persons are working for us: 20 administrative personal and 40 developers.

Key Responsibilities
● Design, implement, test, and debug software applications for motion control application and processing
● A deep understanding of computer science, and experience with C++
● Create innovative solutions to solve challenging problems for production inspection systems
● Design programming projects
● Participate in pair programming, stand-ups, retros and project meetings
● Maintain and follow quality assurance procedures
● Coordinate programming activities with other departments

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
● Capable of operating independently and a self-starter
● Strong critical thinking skillset; ability to identify issues and formulate solutions
● Have a strong work ethic
● Communicate effectively with customers and Company personnel
● Be persistent and dependable
● Be flexible, detail-oriented, and have good time management skills

Education and Experience
● Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
● 5-7 years of experience creating clean, elegant C++ code
● Experience with object-oriented design
● Knowledge of code repositories
● Ability to interface hardware and software

Nice to Have
Experience with Artificial Intelligence
