Operations Manager (VC Fund)

Whales Marketing is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our partner, Whales Ventures, a venture capital firm. 

 

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, along with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

 

A background in venture capital, project management, or operations is highly desirable.

 

Requirement:

  • 3 years of experience in operations management.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English at a C1+ level.
  • Strong ownership skills and product mindset.
  • Experience in project management, including practical knowledge of methodologies and necessary tools, frameworks, and ceremonies.
  • Experience with dashboard composition and process documentation (BPMN, business actors).
  • Ability to effectively facilitate agreements and build relationships.
  • Experience in organizing and managing operational activities within a company.
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute to the VC sector if lacking prior experience 😎.

     

Nice to have:

  • Experience in venture capital.
  • Experience with Notion and Zoho CRM.
  • Experience with workflow automation (e.g. Zapier).
  • Business Analysis knowledge foundation.

 

What you will do:

  • Design, document, and implement efficient processes.
  • Identify and implement appropriate tools to improve operational efficiency.
  • Oversee investment projects and internal initiatives.
  • Onboard, monitor, and support portfolio companies.
  • Create reports and dashboards to track performance for internal and external purposes.
  • Serve as a facilitator, coordinator, and executor for routine tasks (e.g., prompting junior staff, following up on task completion, sending reminders).
  • Conduct high-level financial management (expense tracking, cost categorization, and basic project budget calculations).
