Middle Backend Software Engineer (Node/TS) $1200-2400 (offline)
A Mortgage Software Development company is seeking an experienced Backend Software Engineer.
As a Backend Software Engineer, you’ll work in a team with a business analyst to automate manual business processes.
The goal of the role is to help businesses improve efficiency by taking repetitive work off the plates of their employees and teaching computers to do it.
You’ll work closely with the business, so if you’re looking to use your engineering skills to solve real-life business problems that deliver a tangible impact, you’ll find this role interesting.
This is a part-time role with a guaranteed 20-hour workload.
⚡️ RESPONSIBILITIES
- Business requirements elicitation and technical architecture
- Cloud infrastructure setup (Google Cloud, Supabase, Retool)
- Open-source software deployment (Metabase, Trigger.Dev, Airbyte)
- Data modeling and database architecture (Postgres, BigQuery, TypeORM)
- Third-party API integration (Airtable, CRMs, Front, etc.)
- Workflow automation and data pipeline development
- REST API development
- UI & Data visualization using no-code tools (Metabase, Retool)
✅ REQUIREMENTS
- Intermediate or higher level of English to read/listen/write technical material
- 2+ years of commercial experience as a backend engineer with technologies listed below
- Deep understanding of OOP and software engineering patterns
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adopt no-code tools
- Understanding of distributed systems architecture
- Experience working with version control systems
