esurance is a digital platform for smart insurance distribution. We have our own technological platform that helps to digitize insurance products, bring them online and help with the distribution in multiple ways. Think Amazon for insurance products for small and medium enterprises.

Our vision is to provide hassle-free insurance protection for small and medium businesses (SME). By applying our core values to the domain of insurance products, we empower hybrid insurance distribution through a simple, digital, and personal approach.

How do we do this?

To bring products online and facilitate their distribution, we have developed a platform comprising a set of core technologies that enable us to manage orders and interactions. We use both a product

approach, which involves building our core platform technologies, and a project approach, which entails implementing various types of projects for our partners such as insurance companies, brokers, and business software providers.

About the vacancy:

What professional skills are important to us?

- Strong experience building RESTful Web Services using PHP (Symphony)

- Experience with .NET 6+ to grow and build our future solutions

- Good understanding of OOP and SOLID principles

- Domain Driven Design as paradigm in terms of application layers

- Good knowledge of SQL (Postgres)

- Strong problem-solving and communication skills

- English level: Upper-Intermediate or higher

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

A big plus:

- Familiarity with DevOps principles, GitLab CI/CD, and tools like Docker or Kubernetes to ensure efficient and automated soware delivery

Responsibilities:

- Develop high-quality, professional, and maintainable web services using PHP (and .NET for future developments)

- Proactive contribution to the specification of technical tasks and discussions.

- Architectural design and development of new features using modern

- technologies.

- Write clean, testable, and well-documented code following best practices.

Where are the people who make technical decisions on the project (country, accessibility)?

a. It is done on multiple levels. Most of the decisions are done within a specific

team.

Truly interesting architecture (services oriented architecture, feature releases, workflow orchestration, eventual consistency mechanisms, multi-tenancy, inhouse DSL for insurance products configuration, etc)

Salary review (when, amount of revision and based on what)?

1 time a year based on individual performance and salary range

Conditions:

● Is there a trial period and how long does it take?

○ 3 months

● Overtime, how often, what approach to payment?

○ Almost no overtime. The goal is to cover overtime with days off. In exceptional cases, overtime is paid.

● What is the schedule?

○ Flexible.

● Number of vacation days?

○ 18

● Number of days of paid sick leave per year?

○ 5

● Is relocation possible outside Ukraine and how is the company ready to support it

(after war)?

○ Yes, relocation is in general possible. Official support in the process of

relocation ist not foreseen.

○ Recommendation of accountant and compensation for the accounting

support
