Senior Golang Engineer

Join our long-term project for the highest-rated mobile virtual network operator. This SaaS service provides the infrastructure, experience, and expertise that telecom companies need to revolutionize the consumer experience.

You will work with a team of skilled engineers using modern architecture and technology. Since the project is still in the early stages, you will shape, design, and build its fundamental parts. The backend is in Golang and runs in AWS using Kubernetes. Communication between backend services uses gRPC, and the front-end uses GraphQL. PostgreSQL databases are used primarily, Clickhouse for some use cases where needed, and event sourcing is used in the core. It is a backend-heavy full-stack role with the occasional front-end work in React.

Requirements:

— 4+ years of extensive experience as a backend or full-stack engineer

— At least 1 year of practical experience writing backend using Go (Golang)

— Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes

— Ability to collaborate as part of a team to solve complex technical problems and work in intricate environments

— An independent individual who is open-minded, thorough, creative, and possesses a can-do mentality

— Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

— Strong presentation abilities at all levels within an organization

— A passion for technology and a genuine interest in startups

— Upper-intermediate level of proficiency in English, both spoken and written

Would be a plus:

— Experience with SQL is preferable

— Experience using Clickhouse, GraphQL, gRPC

— Experience with React and Typescript or readiness to work with it

— Education: Degree in Computer Science or similar

Responsibilities:

— Work on a backend developed in Golang, operating in AWS environments and utilizing Kubernetes for orchestration

— Facilitate communication between backend services using gRPC and develop the frontend using GraphQL

— Utilize PostgreSQL databases for primary data storage, with Clickhouse for specific use cases as needed

— Occasionally undertake frontend work in React, in addition to the backend-heavy responsibilities

— Engage in the core development of the platform using event-sourcing

— Play a key role in shaping, designing, and building fundamental parts of the platform during its early stages

— Work within a robust, caring team environment and contribute to the company culture of challenging each other and pushing boundaries
