Team Leader C++ Developer - Qt/QML (offline)
Project Description
Well known european producer of power speakers and concert equipment is working on a next generation digital products. As a part of this effort, GlobalLogic will be working on a brand new desktop application to create and edit a virtual 3d audio space, place audio objects there and define their moving trajectories. The data model created by the application will be consumed by a specialized sound processor, which will apply spatial effects on the live performance sound sources. Target platforms for the appplication is Windows and Mac Os X, with a potential to extend it to iOS in future.
Job Description
Must have:
- At least 5+ years of experience in software development
- Proficiency in C++ is required, including object-oriented design skills and robust coding practices.
- Highly motivated and energetic team leader
- Proven ability to take a challenging customer request, break it down into smaller tasks, and execute development with the team.
- Fluency in the English (written and spoken) is required as this position involves direct communication with the EU-based customer, clarifying requirements and milestones, and also progress reporting for the team
- Solid experience with Qt and QML frameworks in developing cross-platform UI applications (desktop and mobile)
- Good understanding of multithreaded applications is a must.
- The ability to work in a cross-platform development environment is required.
- Development experience in at least one of Windows or Macintosh OS platforms
- Proven ability to debug complex software systems. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to work with large applications involving the writing of significant new code, as well as utilizing existing code and libraries.
Nice to have:
- Experience with development using Agile (Scrum) methodologies is desirable
- Experience in real-time networking application is highly desired.
- Experience in Audio domain, live performance and studio recording is a plus.
- Experience with Dolby Atmos is a plus.
- Knowledge of OSC and OCA protocols is a plus.
- Experience with writing robust unit tests and using test driven development is strongly desired.
- Python experience is a plus
- Experience in creating/supporting robust automated test approaches

We are looking for a talented, creative and enthusiastic Senior C++ Engineer / Team Lead to join the team in Ukraine. To join our high-performing team, you must have an in-depth understanding of software engineering and object-oriented design techniques, the ability to create, debug, and maintain bulletproof C++ code, an eye for detail, and maintain extremely high standards with respect to software quality and reliability. The ideal candidate possesses software system engineering experience in requirements definition, architectural review, implementation and verification planning.
As a key part of this team you will work on developing new functionality, as well as fixing issues. This team is responsible for all aspects of user interface, event processing, communication with devices and applications on the network. You will be involved in many projects relating to implementing new workflows for our customers.
As a team leader you will be involved in requirements clarification for the new features, architectural design, work break down to smaller tasks, and executing the development with the team of 5-7 engineers (devs + QAs). As a Senior Engineer it is expected that you will also evaluate technical approaches and technologies that will be later used on the project.
