Middle/Senior Front-End Engineer (Svelte)

The project is about building the next generation of smart diagramming for enterprise teams to easily create and collaborate on complex diagrams from text with AI, JS code, and the Visual Editor. It's built on the award-winning, open-source diagramming and charting tool.

Crucial: this project is a long-term collaboration (1+ year)

The international team consists of 8 engineers and due to Gitlab sponsorship, it will be expanded so we are seeking 2+ Mid and Sen Full-Stack (Front-oriented) Engineers with Svelte expertise.

Resource needs:
- Develop and maintain web applications using open-source technologies such as Svelte, SvelteKit, TypeScript, Prisma (ORM), and Supabase.
- Transform UI/UX designs into responsive, and accessible web applications.
- Design and implement scalable, secure backend services.
- Optimize database interactions with Prisma ORM, ensuring performance and scalability.
- Engage with the open-source community by sharing code, improvements, and participating in discussions.
- Contribute to customers' open-source projects, collaborating with the global developer community.

Key requirements:
- 3+ years of JS/TS development experience
- Strong expertise with Svelte and SvelteKit (must-have)
- Proficient in the following
Tech stack: Vite, Stripe, Docker, Tailwind, Skeleton UI
Tools: Jira, Confluence, VS Code, GitKraken
Providers: Vercel, Digital Ocean, Supabase
Nice to have: SSO, Mermaid, Plugin development
- Hands-on experience with Prisma (ORM) and Supabase
- Proactive and team-friendly oriented position
- Strong English skills both spoken and written (at least b2+)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred
