Junior WordPress Developer (offline)

Whales Ventures is seeking a Junior WordPress Developer to join our team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will assist in developing, customizing, and maintaining WordPress websites and plugins. Working closely with our account manager and designer team, you’ll ensure websites align with design specifications and are optimized for speed, SEO, and user experience.

Requirements:
- Basic understanding of WordPress development with at least 1 year of experience.
- Intermediate level of English proficiency for understanding client requirements and communication.
- Portfolio with commercial projects, showcasing multipurpose websites, preferably B2B.
- Familiarity with PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience working with WordPress themes and plugins.
- Exposure to tools like ACF, Elementor, WP Bakery, and WooCommerce.
- Knowledge of WordPress APIs, hooks, and filters is a plus.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
- Basic understanding of different server settings.
- Interest in website optimization techniques for speed, SEO, and user experience.
- Ability to work with Figma designs and follow provided templates.

What you will do:
- Assist in developing custom WordPress websites based on provided Figma layouts.
- Aid in setting up template-based WordPress websites and configuring plugins.
- Support existing websites of our clients and partners.
- Work with various WordPress settings, including ACF, Elementor, WP Bakery, and WooCommerce.
- Add new pages to existing websites as required.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
- Ensure websites are fully responsive and optimized for all devices.
- Conduct basic QA checkups or assist in coordinating with a QA specialist.

- Management Call — Google Meet call, 1 hour.
