The Role
As part of company exciting growth plans, they are now looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) who has strong testing development skills, good DevOps knowledge and is a competent C++ programmer to join our Engineering Team.
In partnership with the Product Owner, you will have a unique opportunity to shape the technical direction and future commercial success of one of company’s applications. You’ll be a key member of a product team responsible for owning and leading the development of the automated test framework, owning the CI/CD pipeline and contributing to developing software and systems.
Responsibilities
- Own and lead the development of the automated test framework and the CI/CD pipeline;
- Contribute to the technical development of a core company application using Agile development methodology;
- Resolving test issues and reinforcing test framework;
- Design, write and test code, refining and rewriting it as necessary, supporting and collaborating with other developers involved in the project;
- Initial focus on CI/CD pipeline modernisation;
- Provide accurate and timely progress updates to the Project Manager;
- Participate in internal and external Quality Assurance audits as required;
- Provide input to continuously improve technical processes or practices, based on practical day to day experiences;
- Ability to analyse user requirements and translate those into user stories.
Key Skills
- Adaptable, ability to pick up new technologies and learn quickly;
- C++ core development experience;
- Strong testing background (SDET) – ability to code automated tests and lead testing;
- Competent with DevOps, Jenkins, Docker and CI/CD pipelines;
- Comfortable with OpenGL (for OpenGL testing);
- Competency with C# and Python3;
- Experience of Azure and AWS Technologies, cloud infrastructure, Linux and Windows OS, including integration;
- Agile development methodology and use of TDD and BDD.
Security Clearance Requirements
The successful candidate will be required to go through an SC security clearance.
Location
The role will be required to be in our Horsham offices 2 days a month, with the rest of the time remote based.
