Algorithms Developer

Job Description:
Our client is a USA Product Company, with headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. His product is a supply chain planning and automation platform provided as a Software as a Service solution.

We’re looking for a highly organized and detailed oriented Algorithms Developer to join our team and play a pivotal role in developing the best-in-class supply chain planning and automation platform. Responsibilities:
- Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging algorithms for supply chain planning
- Write well-designed, scalable, and testable code with unit tests and integration tests
- Maintain and develop scalable supply chain planning algorithms
- Maintain and develop data model to support supply chain planning data
- Collaborate with the development of new features, enhancements and fix existing system bugs
- Analyze existing code to understand performance impact and propose solutions
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems
- Keep on top of new technologies and algorithms
- Interact with BA's, QA's and other peer to clarify business requirements
- Engage and learn about complex business rules related to supply chain planning
- Support demo development activities
- Provide training and support to internal teams

Requirements:
- BS/MS/PhD in Business Analytics, Data Science, Mathematics/Statistics or a related field; Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Research educational backgrounds will be applicable as well with appropriate experience
- 5+ years of experience in Java/J2EE application in development of enterprise software systems. C++ experience a plus
- Proficiency in PostgreSQL and other DBMs
- Experience in parallel programming, distributed algorithms, distributed resource management systems
- Ability to understand business and supply chain needs and leverage it to effectively design product solutions to drive business value
- Strong math skills (e.g. statistics, algebra)
- Understanding of the software development life cycle, including capturing product requirements, review of functional specifications, development of solutions, developing test plans, testing, user training, and deployment
- Experience working in Linux environments with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS Fargate, Argo) and major cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Experience in retail, CPG, e-commerce, or supply chain would be considered an asset
