Product/Solution Architect (offline)

One of our customers, with offices throughout Europe, implements innovative IT services. Based on years of experience with roots in the telecommunications environment, they have an extensive range of services.

The Product Architect will:
- own the high-level design and be responsible for translation of functional and
non-functional requirements into solutions that span the end-to-end product ambition;
including service experience; customer interfaces; development requirements;
Capex/Opex budget needs and detailed costs
- The Product Architect will work within a largescale virtual team (approx..50+) to determine product and service technical building blocks and how they interact with each other, provide design leadership to the virtual team and facilitate seamless integration between solution building blocks
- Work with the Technology Product Owner within an Agile framework to produce Impact
Assessments for business demands, own the overall design and create feature backlogs
to deliver against Capabilities that ensure business functional and non-functional
requirements are met by Release Trains delivering against those features.
- The architect will be responsible to deliver a solution which is modular in design to enable elements to be broken into distinct components for delivery decisions, underpinning the best execution
of the business case
- Work with the Product Design Authority to have complete oversight of the scope/nature of design testing and review/signoff of exit documentation for build & test
- The Product Architect will provide guidance and leadership to the functional teams
(Networks/IT/Service Design/Technology Enablement Services/Customer Services/Security/Regulatory/Legal/Go to Market etc.) on the interpretation of business requirements.
- The architect will assist the functional teams in development of key NPD deliverables.
∙Be a technical authority on mobile network technology (4G and 5G essential) within the
product development team and work with network suppliers, internal Network Engineering organisation and platform engineering team to deliver best in class Mobile Private Network
connectivity solutions.

Core competencies:
- Candidate will have strong experience of Product Development in a telecom’s environment, with an appreciation of the service wrap (sell/build/run) journeys required around technical deliverables to make it a Product.
- Additionally, a basic understanding of IT capabilities used in Telco environments for
customer ordering, billing and network operations is desirable.
- Deep understanding of Mobile Networks ecosystem and related technology: 4G/LTE and 5G mobile network architectures, End to End understanding of a Mobile network system e.g.
SIM technology and provisioning, APN definitions, RAN and Core network design, OSS for network operations, mobile network security.
- Experience of rolling out centrally developed operator products across multiple markets is
highly needed.
- Ability to translate technical understanding into product design, considering commercial
operational and customer experience drivers
- Evidenced experience with design, implementation and roll out of Global Telecoms Products and Services.
∙Ability to identify and apportion the cost components of complex solutions and to understand the resulting commercial viability.
- Candidate will have strong understanding of Agile methodologies for Product development.
- The Product Architect will be a proactive individual, with success leading and working
within a global virtual team with the ability to Influence and build effective relationships with peers and senior stakeholders across the business
- Strong, clear communication capabilities and experience presenting to and influencing
senior stakeholders in a global corporation .

Must have technical/professional qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience dealing with multinational corporate customer needs and global suppliers in a solution design, product architecture, engineering or consultancy role
- Candidate must have demonstrable deep subject matter expertise in designing complex mobile connectivity solutions, including an excellent knowledge of competitor offerings and technology evolution.
- Experience with IT Managed Services, preferably with ITIL experience
- Graduate, with minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field (required).
