Hunting for a full-time React & Redux developer for new SaaS project (offline)

Mason is a web based image creation tool built using Rails, React and Redux. We are looking to hire a full time front end developer to work on building some exciting new features coming to Mason.

The role will require the ability to work across the whole of the front end architecture built on React and Redux. We are looking for a developer with solid experience using React and Redux in real world applications and a desire to develop their skills further.

You will be working closely with both the founder and lead developer to maintain and build on the existing application. We are looking for someone who can work independently as well as collaborate with the rest of the team on building larger features.

Our requirements:

- Ability to work and communicate in written and spoken English.

- Real world experience with React, Redux, Webpack and ES6 in real world applications.

- Example code of projects you have worked on using React/Redux

- Ability to commit to full time working hours.

- Ability to solve problems and work on features independently and collaboratively.

- Experience with Ruby, Rails, Heroku, AWS and redux-saga would be a positive.

- Solid understanding of fundamental programming principles and the desire to learn and improve their skills.

Our hiring process will involve 4 stages:

1- First we would like you to reply to this ad with your application and provide the necessary example code pieces.

2- We will give you access to the codebase and instructions to get your dev environment set up. This is an opportunity for you to familiarise yourself with the codebase and prepare any questions you have for the next stage.

3 - We will arrange a 45 min Skype call with our lead developer where we will ask you to explain your understanding of different parts of the code base. You can also ask questions to clarify your understanding. This will help you get an idea of the code you will be working with and whether you feel confident about working with it long term.

4 - We will arrange a short paid trial period where you will work on implementing a real feature for the mason app. This is an opportunity to see how you work with the team and if we can be a good fit working together.

5 - We will agree on a longer term arrangement and extended employment contract.

The role is 40 hours per week, on a month-to-month contract, for $1000 per month.
